About CodeShare

What was CodeShare?

CodeShare was a platform for developers to share, discover, and collaborate on code snippets. Founded in 2012 and operating until 2019, our service allowed programmers to easily share their code with others, get feedback, and build a collection of useful snippets for future reference.

Why did CodeShare close?

After seven successful years serving the developer community, CodeShare closed in November 2019 due to changing market conditions and increasing competition from larger platforms. We're proud of the impact we had during our time and grateful to all the users who made CodeShare a vibrant community.

Is this an archived version of CodeShare?

Yes, this is an archived version of the CodeShare platform. While you can browse existing content, new features are not being developed and technical support is no longer available. This archive is maintained as a historical resource.

Using CodeShare (Historical)

How did users share code on CodeShare?

CodeShare supported syntax highlighting for over 30 programming languages, including:

  • JavaScript

Can I recover my old CodeShare account?

No, account recovery is no longer possible. All user accounts were deactivated when the service closed in 2019, and personal account information has been deleted in accordance with data protection regulations.

What happened to Premium subscriptions?
